Saturday I finally was able to put out the wood from the tree I 'downsized' a few weeks ago. Two weeks ago I finaly was able to reduce the trunks and branches to a manageable 1m length. As I had protected them with a plastic foil they were still rather dry, even with several weeks of rainy weather that prevented me from disposing of them.
Sunday I heard that a neighbor has a wood-stove, I told him he could take any wood he wanted and later that evening we heard noises outside. When we checked later all the wood (about 1.25 m**3) was gone. Very good indeed. I hope he enjoys it.
In related news I also closed the hole that was introducing sewage-gas to our cellar: the cloth that was supposed to be closing it wasn't. A little gaffa-tape later and we have no more bad smell in the entrance.
