National Holiday
Jul. 22nd, 2004 11:29 amThe weather on the national holiday here is binary: either tropical (to remind us of our former colony) or drenched (as is usual here). This year it was drenched. So we spend the day preparing the attic for our guests. I threw away quite a number of printouts and books, some with regret, but who would be interested in the complete docset of Borland C++ 3.1, or Foxpro manuals? Oh and to sheer us up, the roof started leaking again :-(
I did connect up the VAXstation to the server again, so when I have some time I want to restart learning OpenVMS again, if I ever find some time...
Jobwise this is my last day doing security and writing PL/SQL stuff. From next week it is back to Nokia/Checkpoint. At least it is unixy. The bad part is that it is in Leuven, which is not exactly closeby. But maybe I can see my friends there a little more...
