Holidays

From today I'm on holiday, and as usual we're going off to Naples later. First we flew with Sabena (failed) then with Volare (failed), followed by Basiq Air (reabsorbed by parent) and last time with SN Brussels (stopped flying on Naples). Now we have to fly with Lufthansa. If the trend continues I expect them to fail within the year :-).

Matteo has a new favorite game: "zakdoekleggen". I don't know the name in English; you sit all children in a circle, facing inwards and singing a song. One child "A" in going round behind the backs of the children with a hankie (zakdoek) and before the song has finished it should put it down behind a child "B". Child B should notice this, jump up and try to catch A. If A can complete a turn round the circle and sit down on the place of B then B becomes the new runner, otherwise the game starts again with A as runner.

In his version he just gives you the hanky and says "You catch me?" :-).

Heisenbugs

Lazy sbcl has one heck of a heisenbug. It compiles itself, passes the test but fails in the compilation of a new version. When you strace it the error (file not found) becomes a sig11. When you ltrace it the place moves, also when you gdb the lisp. :-( But I can trigger the bug now by hitting calculating 100000! in the stupid way. It hits the stack guard in the normal version. In the lazy version it hits the guard, starts an error and then gets a sig11 !

This will some time to resolve, time I don't have :-(.
