endings and a new start
Apr. 3rd, 2007 08:51 pmIn the last week I've been finishing a lot of things. At home I installed a Devolo 200 AV kit and things are now a bit spiffier to the attic: from 200Kbytes/sec ftp'ing a movie via the '35Mbit' wireless I went to 5Mbytes/sec, which I think is a limit of the box as my iMac (connected via 100Mbit ethernet) isn't much faster.
I also said goodbye to IBM, Fit IT and a pretty impressive piece of CL code.
Life at $VBNV is pretty nice. I went from a Linux-allergic Z61m to a pretty ok T60. I regret going from 1600x1400 to a keyhole resolution of 1024x768, but I'll try to get an external monitor. I already will get a nice Sun workstation to play with, along with a few other non-public tools.
And the best thing: they use qwerty over there!
