George Michael @ sportpaleis Antwerp
Nov. 15th, 2006 12:27 pmYesterday we went to the concert here. VRT give some details. The sound was not great, but the show and the immense led-wall and floor on the stage on the other hand was incredible.
zoutke, a true fan, seems to enjoy mostly the older songs, and I think the rest of the audience to. But I was mesmerised by this led video wall which was like 10 meters wide, 4 stories high and across the entire depth of the stage. On it they showed parts of the video clips, or animations, movies etc. Is is pretty spectacular! When showing a flying sequence I almost got dizzy and in one song there was a sunset on a beach which very realistic water.
Following the suggestions we parked the car in the city (Gedempte zuiderdokken) and took the pre-metro to the Sportpaleis. It all went rather smoothly and when the concert was finished I could see that the metro was being provided for us (officials checking and radioing round). So we avoided the traffic hell around the concert hall whenever there is a concert. Having the metro-ticket already included in the ticket for the show is a good idea.
