Oh yes, just heard a story about that. The average baby milk powder box was 45 euros instead of the 20 or so it's in Switzerland. That is why people used to drive 5 hours from Milan to stock up on baby formula in Switzerland, and even brought the stuff down to sell it at cost. TV show denounced this, Health Minister complained, milk powder decreased... by only 20%. Across all brands. Coincidence?
with regret I would say this is one thing that it's not Berlusconi's fault-boy I never thought I would have to defend the men. The problem with the baby powder milk goes way way back in time....
I've always been worried about this when flying to Italy: we have like 6 or 8 metallic containers with the milk. On top of the containers go (by tradition) our GSM chargers. Why it doesn't look like a bomb on the X-ray I never understood. ;-)

Date: 2005-10-21 02:32 pm (UTC)chi va in tv. Attenti a Unomattina: "From now on I will decide who appears on the TV". He feels attacked and tricked by the leftist media.
Note that even the economist is a hotbed of communists out to get him.
