Xmas market in Köln
Dec. 11th, 2005 10:34 pmOn Saturday we went to the market in Köln. After driving 2 hours searching a place to park took 1 hour, mainly because the indications were wrong, misleading and just evil. The market itself was just a slowing moving block of people.
The city changed a lot in the last 20 years. Actually there was little I recognized, but when we searched for the way home instincts drove me to select the highway towards Krefelt, which goes directly to the region where I lived as a kid.
The amount of smokers in .de is so much higher then in .be it was disappointing. I even saw cigarette vending machines in the street. They are outlawed over here, because selling the drugs to minors is an offense.
All in all a trip that should have been done outside of the Xmas madness.

Let us not mention the "we are losing money, so we have to charge more for a basic account", later that day, "record profits this quarter" banks.
