After a day of interesting talks we left for the formal dinner in 6 buses. After a short ride we arrived at a kind of party-hall, not unlike they have associated with churches in Belgium. It has a metal roof, nice walls from stone and a podium. The tables were arranged in a big Debian swirl, which was a nice touch.

After a while a band playing Mexican traditional music (as far as I know) arrived and started playing, it also started raining. Hard. Very hard. The band was struggling to be heard over the noise of the water falling on the roof. Water was coming inside through small holes in the roof and a bit later a real waterfall developed as water ran down the wall inside the building. This caused some excitement. A bit later the electricity and with it the lights went off and we were in 'darkness punctuated with the lights of GSM's and mini-LED's'. In one word it was fantastic.

After a while the power and the lights came back and the band was great. The atmosphere was incredible and except for one regrettable incident (which I hope will have 'a tail') we all had a great time. Pictures on Flickr soon...

After a while they announced a bus was heading back and amids questions of 'will the hacklab be open' I headed back.
