almost a birdstrike!

pvaneyndToday when I was accelerating on the on-ramp of the highway some brown-beige bird of prey decided to cross the road just in front of me. It appeared to be about 40cm big and very, very close. When I turned my head to follow it I saw it flying besides the car through my side window.
